Island Peak (Imja-Tse) one of the most climbing Peaks in Nepal, world’s great treks with breathtaking scenery unsurpassed anywhere else in the high mountains. Island peak height is 6189 meters (20,305 feet). Above the 5800 meters we count in the expedition so that we called expedition it has different rules and regulations. Island Peak was first ascended in 1953 by British team as part of their preparations for climbing Everest. The peak is actually part of the south ridge of Lhotse-Shar and forms a semicircle of cliffs that rise to the north of Nuptse. We need to get an extra permit for it. Island peak is one of the most popular for expeditions in this region. The island peak expedition offers a continuing experience of natural beauty and profound cross-cultural discovery. Being one of the world-famous expeditions of Nepal, nowadays, it attracts large numbers of mountain expeditions and thrilling adventurers from all round the world. The typical appeal of this expedition is 360 views of mountains, Mt. Everest (8848.86m), Mt. Lhotse (8516m), Nuptse (7861m) and Amadablam (6812 m) and many more peaks and its glacier.
Arrival Kathmandu. Up on arrival you will meet with representative of Incredible Mountain's Pvt. Ltd and bring you as per you mention hotel. Today you have rest day.
After breakfast, you will meet with your trekking guide and he will briefly explain about your upcoming trekking trip. At day time you can buy your trekking equipment and other side we will prepare for your trekking documentations.
Due to the heavy traffic at Kathmandu airport during the peak season, Lukla's flight is operating from Manthali, 4 hours' drive from Kathmandu, so we need to. Early in the morning from Kathmandu hotel, around 2 AM (October, November, December and March, April, May) and other seasons, we can direct fly from Kathmandu airport. At that time, early in the morning, we had to depart from the hotel to catch the flight to Lukla (2860m). Lukla is the gateway to Everest hiking. After 30 minutes, you will reach Lukla. You can take a few minutes to prepare your hiking clothes and backpack. After that, start to trek to Phakding(2600M)
After breakfast, we start to our trek to Namche. Trek continues to back of Dhud Kosi River. Around 2 hours after you will reach to Manjo, here we have to show our national park permit and khumbu village entry Permit. Few hours more trek we will cross the Tenzing Hilari Bridge start climb up to Namche.
Today is Acclimatization day, so we can make day program.hiking toward up hill and get back down for sleep. We can walk around and enjoy the closest mountain views. Namche is a small town. If you missed buying something in Kathmandu, then no worry, it may be a little expensive, but you can get it there too, like hiking equipment. After breakfast, we can go for a day's hike, towards Everest view hotel (3880m), which is a famous view point, and go down to the very beautiful place, Khumjung Village (3790m). Stay overnight in Namche hotel.
On that day, for the trial, we went to the bank of the Dudh Koshi River. Clear sky we can see Mt Everest, Mt. Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Nuptse and many more mountains. Around 5 hours later, we can reach Tyangboche. It is a very old and beautiful Sherpa town. In Tyangboche we have to visit a very old and famous monastery.
After breakfast, we descend steps ahead into rhododendron and pine trees forest cross the Imja river trial goes continue step up to Pangboche. Trek goes continue to 3 hours more to reach Dingboche.
We have one more rest and acclimatization day. we have to go hike for Nangkartshang peak (5083m) and back to hotel take a lunch and again go to visit old village and high-altitude farming like barley, buckwheat and potatoes.
After breakfast, we will hike toward Chhukung. And the climb up to Chhukung Ri is about 3 hours from Chhukung. Which is another day of acclimatation for Imja Tse. The climb to the summit involves steep, rocky terrain and scrambling near to the top. We can see nice views from Chhukung Ri, such as Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu and Amadablam. We spent a few hours there and went back to Chhukung for a night's stay.
After breakfast, we moved toward Island peak basecamp. Island peak basecamp is located near the Imja glacier at elevation 5087, which is The starting point for climbing Island peak. We needed to stay in a tent there. Our team make food and all the arrangements for accommodation there. From Chhukung it takes 3 to hours to reach Island peak basecamp.
Today we can wake up early at 2 am for the peak summit. First, our team make sure the weather conditions must be suitable makes then we prepare for the climbing. After a few hours' walk, we reached the Island peak high camp, reached an elevation about 5500 meters from the sea level, and then we could fix all things crampon, harness with fixing rope and starting climb up one by one moving up the fixed lines. The route includes scrambling, steep scree, a glacier crossing and a headwall. After the summit, spend a few minutes there and get back as soon as possible. It is time to focus on getting back down quickly and safely. Back to basecamp, pack all the things and again get back to Chhukung. Stay overnight at Chhukung tea house.
After breakfast, we can make the same way back to Namche. On the way there were beautiful rhododendron forests and small bushes. At Tingboche you can stop for lunch and can visit a very famous and old Monastery. Again, continue to trek to Namche
Today is last day of the trekking. From Namche continue trek to down to Dhud Koshi river and cross the Hilleary bridge bank of ther river trail goes to bank Lukla it takes around 6 hours to walk.
Today is last day of mountain area. Get ready in the early morning, take a breakfast and wait to flight for Kathmandu from Lukla airport. We are so lucky when we can get flight on time and then check in at Kathmandu hotel.
We will drive you to the airport as per your flight schedule. So today will be a rest day; this is so that you can spend some time trying to figure out how to repack your bag with the multiple gifts and presents you’ve bought for your family (and yourself) back into your suitcase! This is the dilemma of those who visit Nepal. You might also like to have a final cup of local tea, and just take in a lovely long breath of the Nepali air as you say your farewells.
