Located in the eastern half of Nepal; the Everest region offers a wide arrays of trekking experiences. There is a Great Gompa Bigu Gompa. It is a nunnery. There are more than 300 nuns. In Sherpa Language Biku means “Seed”. There is Sherpa village. You can get the view of Gaurishankar (7,145m), Melungtse (7,181m), and other mountains. After two days of rugged glacier walking one reaches high Tashi Lapcha Pass (5755m). On the other side of the Tashi Lapcha, the trail drops down into Thame village (3790m) on the Khumbu valley. Rolwaling Valley is explored by very few tourists. From here walking on the mains busy trekking trails to Everest base camp with interesting time around famous Namche and scenic Thyangboche Monastery as the walk leads to higher arid and dry country enclosed within world highest peaks at Everest base camp. At base camp with views of Khumbu Ice Falls and glaciers beneath towering South Face of Mt. Everest, and then head downhill to Lukla town for short scenic flight back to Kathmandu.
