Annapurna Circuit Trek

15 Days

The Annapurna Circuit Trek is well-known as one of the most popular treks in the world. This trek will follow a path that will take you from green pastures to leafy pine forests to arid landscapes and spectacular views of the Annapurna mountain range. Providing a combination of spectacular high mountain scenery, picturesque lowland farms and villages, a wealth of cultural interest and a challenging pass crossing. It is undoubtedly a trek of epic length, but still its rewarding journeys are worth enough for any trekker to carry on with their trek.

By following the complete circuit, starting in Besi Sahar and ending in Naya Pool, you experience the delights of the many villages; encounter numerous temples, ecosystems and wildlife. Every day you gain impressive views of some of the most famous mountains in the Himalayas: Annapurna I through IV, Dhaulagiri (8,167 m), Machhapuchhre (6,993 m), Nilgiri (2,637 m) and Gangapurna (7,455 m) dominating the northern skyline. And then, you experience multiple views of each massif. You start at a much lower elevation 820 m, but still attain high alpine altitude maxing out at 5,350 m on Thorung La Pass. We then descend to the deep valley of the Kali Gadaki, where a wealth of new experiences awaits us – the first of which is the bizarre collection of temples at Muktinath, at the base of the pass. Muktinath is an important pilgrimage place for both Hindu & Buddhist. The holy shrine at Muktinath is in a grove of trees and includes a Buddhist Gompa and the pagoda style temple of Vishnu Temple, containing an Image of Vishnu. Trekking through the Kali Gandaki Valley for some leisurely days, we then climb to cross the ridge at Ghorepani and make the traditional excursion to Poon Hill for spectacular dawn views of Dhaulagiri and the Annapurnas. And as the climax of the trek comes near we arrive at Pokhara. From there we will drive back to Kathmandu for the final departure but if someone wishes to enjoy the iconic flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu, for them there are flights available at Pokhara.

The Annapurna circuit is continuously evolving, but the one constant is its status as one of the world’s greatest treks. To any trekker the best time to trek here will be in fall from October to early December and the spring from mid March to mid April. So if you want to experience this surreal trek, join us and be a part of Incredible Mountain’s for an epic journey through Annapurna Circuit.
